3rd Transnational Meeting

3rd Transnational Meeting
The partners of the Erasmus+ project “Play to Participate – Participate to Play (P2P)” convened in Malta on 5 May 2025 for the project’s 3rd Transnational Partners Meeting. Organized by TDM 2000 Malta, the meeting aimed to review the project’s progress, strengthen cooperation among consortium members, and coordinate the next implementation phases focused on youth participation, leadership, inclusion, and democratic engagement through sport.
The meeting gathered project representatives from across Europe to discuss the current status of the initiative and evaluate the implementation of the different work packages. Throughout the day, partners exchanged updates, reviewed completed activities, addressed ongoing challenges, and agreed on future action points to ensure the successful delivery of the project objectives.
The programme officially began with welcoming remarks and an introduction to the meeting objectives delivered by TDM 2000 Malta. Partners then participated in a comprehensive overview session led by NGO IUVENTA, focusing on project timelines, administrative updates, risk management, and mitigation strategies. This session allowed the consortium to assess overall project progress and reinforce coordination mechanisms among partners.
A central part of the meeting was dedicated to WP3 – Sport Youth Council and Youth Board, coordinated by TDM 2000 International. Partners reviewed the activities already implemented within the work package and discussed the next steps required for the development and sustainability of local Sport Youth Councils and Youth Boards. Discussions focused on strategy development, action planning, meeting schedules, and reporting procedures aimed at strengthening youth participation in sport-related decision-making processes at local and European levels.
The consortium also reviewed the implementation of WP4 – Youth Leadership Programme, led by Conexao. During this session, partners reflected on the outcomes of the Training of Trainers (ToT) activities and discussed the organization of upcoming local trainings in partner countries. Emphasis was placed on ensuring that young participants gain practical leadership skills, strengthen civic participation, and actively contribute to inclusive and democratic community initiatives through sport and non-formal education approaches.
Another important focus of the meeting was WP5 – Quality Assurance, Monitoring and Evaluation alongside WP6 – Dissemination and Exploitation. Partners reviewed internal reporting processes, dissemination responsibilities, and strategies for improving the project’s visibility and outreach. The discussions highlighted the importance of coordinated communication activities, regular dissemination through social media and organizational channels, and continuous monitoring to maximize the impact and sustainability of the project results.
The meeting concluded with a summary of the key decisions, action points, and responsibilities agreed upon for the next implementation period. Partners also discussed preparations for future project meetings and reaffirmed their shared commitment to empowering young people through participation, leadership, inclusion, and sport-based democratic engagement across Europe.
