Our Association wants to give the possibility to our members to be involved in many sectors. We organize courses in collaboration with other institutions, such as courses of computers, accountancy, language etc.  From the other side, the objective of our association is to provide the possibility to our educational members (sociologists, professors etc.) to acquire experience and knowledge for the right pedagogical practice concerning the people with disabilities. All our learners are people with disabilities. In addition we aim through our activities to provide disabled with skills so as to ensure employment. Unfortunately the level of unemployment of disabled in Greece is very high not only because of the lack of skills from the part of the disabled but also because employees are not used to give the chance to disabled to work. They believe that they will not manage to fulfil their expectations. The collaboration with different organizations from different sectors will enrich their knowledge and experience. For all these reasons we strongly believe that our try will provide the disabled the chance to prove their unique willingness to work and learn as all other people do.

The Association was founded by members that were mainly disable so as to offer employment, education and professional rehabilitation to disabled people. The creation of the association was a mean so as to improve the everyday life of disable and furthermore to give a collective character to members demands.

The association supports disabled by offering:

• Advisory and Psychological Support to trainees and their families
• Socialization and Education Circulation Programmes
• Pedagogical programmes
• Computer and accounting courses
• Domestic Economy programmes
• Gymnastics and Athletics programmes
• Entertainment and Creative Occupation

The association came to fill a gap in our country. We have voice and presence, hope and perspective. For this reason the acceptance of this effort by local communities is possitive and encouraging!

Responsibility and duty of the association is to preserve strict principles of focusing and achieving its targets, providing to people with disabilities quality to their lives, similar and equal for all people.

The long term goals are:

• Provide employment and lifelong learning, living and hospitality to disabled.
• Provide accessibility to all areas.
• Explore economic resources to support structures.
• Ensure continuous care and vocational rehabilitation of disabled people
• Insist and struggle for an accessible city.
• Continuous training through Seminars
• Communication via the Internet (our website that is constantly updated on issues relating to disability).

All the above intent to empower the disabled people and provide them with all necessary skills and experience in order to correspond to today’s demands.
